Anything Goes: Mannequins

Hi again with another project for the "Anything Goes" challenge going on through the end of January over on the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity.  For this one, I used the Mannequin's Stamp Set from Lost Coast Designs.

I started by stamping my mannequins onto white card stock with black ink.  I then restamped them using turquoise ink onto white card stock and then cut out the corset from each one.  I glued the corsets onto each of the corresponding mannequins and finished them off with some rhinestones.  The bodies of the mannequins were colored with flesh colored Copic Sketch Markers.  I edged the panel with a turquoise marker, then layered the front panel to a gel print featuring predominantly turquoise paints.

Please be sure to get your projects posted on the Portal before the end of January for a chance to win some free stamps from Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda!

Anything Goes: Coat Lady

Welcome back to all with another project for the January Challenge over on the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity:  Anything Goes.  For this one, I made a tag and used the Coat Lady stamp, the Pieces of Calligraphy stamp set, both from Lost Coast Designs.  The sentiment is one of the clear stamps from www.carmensveranda.com/clearstamps5all.html.

To make my tag cover, I stamped each of the calligraphy piece stamps in the set onto a copy of a master board collage I had made, then cut them out and inked the edges with Distress Vintage Photo ink.  I then created a collage using those pieces on the front of my tag, fitting them to cover the tag.  I edged that entire tag with the same Distress Ink.

My Coat Lady was stamped with black ink onto white paper and fussy cut out.  I added a bit of color to her face with Copic Sketch markers and affixed her to the left side of the tag with foam tape.

The sentiment was stamped onto a white square with black ink and edged with black marker.  I fastened it to the card front as shown and put a piece of foam tape under the right side so it would sit flat on the card front.

We are excited to see the Anything Goes projects you are making this month and hope that YOU will be the lucky winner of some free stamps!

Anything Goes: Party Cat

Happy 2024 and welcome to a new year and a new series of fun challenges for you to participate in over on the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity.  We start the year off with an "Anything Goes" Challenge that will run all month, so you have plenty of time to post all your creative makes here on the Portal.

I'm kicking this off with a square card featuring the Singing Cat stamp from Lost Coast Designs.  This is one of the fun Katzelkraft stamps you can find on the Lost Coast Website.

This happy little guy was stamped onto white card stock with black ink, fussy cut out, and colored with Copic Sketch Markers.  I added some Glossy Accents to his eyes and to his glass of champagne.

My background is a gelli print I made using a stencil and lime green and white acrylic paints.  I stamped my cat a second time onto my background, again with black ink, then superimposed my fussy cut image atop it.  That way I was able to show the little bubbles and party streamers around this happy fella.

I added a new year's greeting then machine stitched around the perimeter with black thread.  I layered this with a black panel and it's done and dusted.

Looking forward to what you are going to show us this month - remember "Anything Goes"!!
