Naughty or Nice? Who can Say??

For the Lost Coast Design Portal to Creativity
Christmas Challenge

For this fun Christmas card, I used The 50's Girl
stamp.  I colored her dress red and added a Santa hat to give her a real holiday feeling.
My background is some holiday scrapbook paper and a little "Naughty or Nice" ticket.  So what do you think:  naughty or nice?  Who can say!

Just An Old Fashioned Christmas

Happy Holidays!  Christmas is right around the corner now, and it's been a great holiday season with lots of crafting on my end!

Here is a tag I made for the GeckoGalz Christmas Tag Extravaganza going on the entire month of December.

For this tag, my image is from the "Just An Old Fashioned Christmas" collage sheet.  The background I used is from the "Sunday Times" mini paper pack.  I cut my background to fit my tag front and edged it with brown Distress Ink.  I stamped snowflakes with the same ink randomly over my background.  I cut out my image and attached it atop the background.  Along the bottom, I attached a piece of vintage lace trim then tied some twine and knotted a wooden snowflake to it.
I attached my sentiment to the top of the tag and tied white and cream satin ribbon through the hole at the top.

A holiday tag in some non-traditional holiday colors which would be good for any holiday occasion!

Happy Holidays to all!!

Sledding Cutie

Happy December to all!  This post features a tag I made for the Geckogalz December Tag Extravaganza with a Christmas or winter theme.

For this tag I used the "Winter Children" collage sheet and selected this little cutie riding a sled in her green coat.  My background is from "Timeless Treasures" paper pack.

I cut my background paper to fit my tag front.  I used gold embossing powder around the edges and heat set it.  I cut out my image and did the edges in the same manner.  Using scalloped scissors I cut a darker green printed background slight larger than my image and affixed the image atop that.  I put some green enamel dot stickers in the corners.  Using gold ink, I stamped snowflakes onto my background paper, then attached my image atop.  I added a "December" sticker to the upper left corner, a gold reindeer to the lower right corner, and tied green satin ribbon at the top and to that attached a gold snowflake.

Hope this inspired you to go and create your own special holiday tags!!

Lost Coast Designs Winter Challenge

Some inspiration for the Lost Coast Designs Portal to Creativity Winter challenge taking
place in December.
This card features the Georges and Louis Stamp which can be found on the Lost Coast Designs website.  I used a background here that I made with  my Gelli plate and some blue and silver paint and some stencils.  I stamped my image and cut it out.  I added some color to Louis's face and gave him a blue hat and leggings.  Last bit was a die cut I had on hand "Stay Warm".
A fun winter card!

Dashing Through the Snow Customer Challenge

This month's customer challenge at GeckoGalz is "Dashing Through the Snow", and I have created some cards for that challenge to share with you.  All these samples will be featured on the GeckoGalz blog on December 20th.

The first sample is a card made with one of the images from the "Baby It's Cold Out Here" collage sheet set.  After cutting out my image, I layered it with white and gold card stock.  I tied some thin gold twine around the lower portion and tied a gold snowflake to it.  Then I layered that with a coordinating background panel which I edged with gold ink.  The whole piece then is affixed to a white card front.

The second sample is another card using another image from the "Baby It's Cold Out Here" collage sheet set.  For my background I used one of the papers from the Very Vintage Junk Journal Paper Pack.  I cut out my background paper and layered it to a white card front.  Then I cut out my image and layered that with a torn edged red panel.  I attached those at an angle to my card front and attached a gold snowflake to the lower left corner and a piece of decorative tape to the upper right corner.  I attached the sentiment lower right and my card is complete!

My third sample is a card made using an image from the "Winter Time" collage sheet.  I cut out my image and attached it atop a piece of loosely woven fabric.  I tied some white twine around the bottom and knotted a wooden snowflake to it.  My cream card base is layered with a piece of snowflake scrapbook paper and my image is attached directly atop that.
