Wine Drinking Karaoke Cat

Hi all on this 28th day of February where we are currently running the "Make It Funny" challenge over on the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity through the end of the month.  Both Carmen's Veranda and Lost Coast Designs have some great stamps and sayings that fit the bill perfectly for this challenge.  This card uses the Karyoke Cat from Lost Coast Designs and the 2 to 3 glasses of wine clear stamp from Carmen's Veranda.

My background here is a gelli print made on a piece of tissue paper using a stencil and red, orange, and yellow acrylic paints.  I have layered it with a piece of vintage book paper and edged it with red ink, then layered the whole onto a piece of bright yellow card stock.

The cat was stamped with black ink onto white paper and fussy cut out.  I colored him with Copic Sketch markers and used a white Gel pen for his fangs and a silver pen for his microphone.  Glossy Accents were added to his eyes, and he was affixed to the lower portion of the card with foam tape for some dimension.

The sentiment was stamped with red ink onto a white square, edged with red ink, and placed above the cat.

We are excited to see what funnies you can create for this challenge.  Don't forget to feature some rubber stamping!  Some free stamps could be coming your way if you are chosen a winner!

Mr. Monkey and the Hokey Pokey

Hi again and welcome to another challenge on The Lost Coast Portal to Creativity challenge - "Make It Funny".  Who can resist?  So many fun ways to make some funny projects for this challenge.

This little index card starts with some Distress Mica Spray ink splatters and sprays onto a piece of white water color paper.  After drying, I stamped it with the Grunge Black Swirl background stamp from Carmen's Veranda.  I used black ink but the stamped image is very light - I think the mica sprays prevented it from being more pronounced, but I kind of the like the faint shadow effect it has.

Mr. Monkey was stamped using the Monkey Face stamp from Carmen's Veranda and black ink on kraft paper card stock.  I fussy cut him out and accented his eyes with a white marker.  He was edged with Distress Vintage Photo ink and affixed to the bottom of the card with foam tape.

The Hokey Pokey sentiment was stamped with black ink onto white card stock and cut out.  The corners were rounded and it was also edged with Distress Ink before being attached to the upper left corner as shown.  The entirety was layered with a piece of brown card stock.

Be sure to post your funnies here for a chance to win some free stamps!!

Heart In Hands

Welcome to the first day of February and the first day of the new challenge at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity:  Love and Hearts.  Perfect for this month with Valentine's Day coming soon.

For this card I used the Chloe Face stamp from Lost Coast Designs.  Such a lovely stamp!  I stamped Chloe with black ink onto a piece of tea dyed paper and fussy cut her out.  I edged this with Distress Ink in Vintage Photo and added a bit of color to her cheeks and lips with Copic Sketch markers.

For the background, I used a scrap collection of Tim Holtz papers that I had been saving to make a collage.  The collage was done on a sheet of 8 1/2 by 11 card stock, so this is just a portion of the collage.  I edged this
with the same Distress Ink and added a bronze "heart in hands" charm to the bottom.  Final step was to layer this with a piece of cream card stock.

Show us your love this month and submit your stamped projects over on the Portal to have a shot at winning some free stamps!
